Star Hotel - Booking Terms & Conditions

On check-in at the hotel, please expect us to ask for photographic ID and advance payment.

Prices include breakfast and are fully inclusive of all local taxes/VAT

Please note that your credit card details are required to secure and confirm a reservation. This guards against false bookings. Unless a deposit is required, we will not charge your credit/debit card, as it will only be used as a guarantee to hold the room(s).

Cancellations

When you make a reservation with us, we commit the room to you. We hope that the following conditions are reasonable for you before you make your booking:

Lenient policy: This is our standard policy for most bookings. We request a 3 day cancellation notice; otherwise a charge of 1 night's stay will be debited from your card. (Example: for a booking arriving on a Friday, you must inform us by 9am on the Tuesday before). If you make your booking within 1-3 days of your arrival day, we request you inform us before the cut-off time of 9am the day after the booking was made.

Strict policy: Usually for bookings over 5 nights and for booking 2 rooms or more. We request a 7 day cancellation notice; otherwise a charge of 1 night's stay will be debited from your card. In very busy periods (eg: the summer months, Easter, New Years, etc.) or if many nights are requested (eg: over 1 week), we request up to 50% non-refundable deposit of the booking value up to 1 month before the arrival day. You will be informed by email when booking.

Group bookings: As a small B&B hotel, these are high risk bookings for us. We request a 25% to 50% non-refundable deposit 1-3 months before the arrival day, depending on the period - you will be informed by email when booking.

Cancellations during your stay: There will be a charge for the next 1-3 nights of you advising us, depending on your length of stay and at our discretion after consideration of all the factors (availability, refusals, etc.) that cause us a true loss of business.

No Shows

It is recommended you take out holiday cancellation insurance. If you do not arrive at the hotel on your booked date without informing us, we request a charge for your total stay, up to a maximum value of 3 nights, which will be debited from your card. Please contact us immediately by telephone as emails are not read by us in real time. We would sincerely prefer to offer the room to other guests, than to charge cancellation fees.

Additional Notes

Check-in time is after 1:30pm, check-out time is 10.30am. We are able to hold luggage on your departure day for collection later

Identification we accept includes passport, identity card and driving licence

If arriving late, please notify us of your estimated arrival time. We do not have a 24 hour reception service

We have a NO SMOKING policy for all our rooms. Please respect this policy for the comfort of all our guests!

Code of Conduct

We ask that other guests and staff are respected. Disruption to our house due to misconduct and alcohol related misbehaviour, carries a charge at our discretion, mainly to cover staffing and loss of time. You agree to this before making your booking. You will also be asked to leave and charged in full for your booking.
